About Us

Back-2-Front UK Ltd was founded by catering and recruitment professionals Pete and Chloe Cann in March 2009.

Pete has spent more than 15 years working in the catering industry in various roles from waiter and kitchen assistant up through to shift manager, trainer, head chef and finally as a catering recruitment consultant field.

Chloe started working in the same industry in 1996 and has worked as a bar tender, waitress, kitchen assistant, shift manager and front of house trainer.

From their time working in catering and recruitment, they knew there was something missing with most recruiters more interested in the money rather than the service they provided.

They felt too many clients were being supplied with catering staff who just couldn’t do the job correctly which, in turn, affected their future business and decided to do something about it.

Industry & Recruitment Experience

So Pete and Chloe set up Back-2-Front and are now using their combined 25 years-plus of catering and recruitment experience to run a personal and fully-accountable catering recruitment service which cares about its clients.

Since October 2010, the Back-2-Front team has been joined by Orla Murphy who is the company's Chef Recruitment Consultant.

Orla started out as a commis chef and worked her up to a head chef and finally chef manager in 15 years working in fine-dining restaurants, 5* hotels and outside event catering.

After working in such varied kitchen environments - and at every possible level - Orla has a good eye for the right chef and shows the depth of knowledge and practical experience Back-2-Front can call on for your benefit.

Robyn is our Front of House Consultant and started her 5-year catering career at Bristo'ls top-end Aqua restaurant where she ran her own busy section and trained staff on the bar.

In 2007, Robyn began her recruitment career working alongside Back-2-Front's MD Pete Cann as a junior consultant before being promoted after 3 months to go on and successfully manage a team of more than 150 temporary staff at the agency where they worked.

Robyn brings a wealth catering experience and knowledge to her role and is another perfect match for the Back-2-Front recruitment team.

Since its inception, the company has quickly grown into one of Bristol's leading catering, hospitality and chef recruitment agencies spreading its wings beyond the boundaries of the West of England's primary city.

The location of Back-2-Front's clients now extends to the surrounding areas of the Bath, the Cotswolds and North Somerset and over the Bridge into South Wales.
